Where We Work
REMODEL-TZ operates across several key locations in Tanzania, focusing on a range of public health and infectious disease challenges — from clinical management of MDR-TB to integrated care for TB and diabetes.
Kibong'oto Infectious Diseases Hospital, Kilimanjaro
Tanzania's national referral center for MDR-TB. Here, our teams conduct patient examinations, refine treatment protocols, and run clinical trials — including a Phase 2b study of N-acetylcysteine as an adjunct MDR-TB therapy.
Dar es Salaam
Focused on the intersection of TB and diabetes, our Dar es Salaam site integrates diagnosis and care pathways, strengthens local health systems, and trains providers to manage both conditions together.
Iringa
In Iringa, we work on evidence-based interventions for health system integration, alongside provider training for dual TB and diabetes disease management.
Kilimanjaro Region
Our broader Kilimanjaro region program runs TB clinical trials, studies injectable-free treatment regimens, and investigates chronic lung disease following TB infection.
